I get this question at least a few times a week…
“Should we go with Google Ads or Facebook Ads? What works best for our brand / group / company / church / nonprofit?”
It’s always the same response from me… “What’s your goal and who are you looking to reach?
Google Ads are my sweetspot. I love setting up and managing campaigns there. Facebook Ads are also insanely powerful considering the targeting capabilities. But they aren’t the same thing.
And that’s the kicker (and the benefit)… both are able to drive qualified traffic and leads to a website or campaign in their own ways that are mutually exclusive (if you know what you’re doing).
So don’t feel like you have to pick one over the other, especially if you have a constrained budget like some consultants will tell you to do. You don’t.
Both giants are offering advertising services that are considered the most effective in the contemporary world. Any modern business, before deciding its digital strategic plan today, needs to understand the facts and figures about these two platforms.
